Springfield School District is seeking a district plumber.; 8 hours/day; 12 month position;  Excellent benefits package

Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed Journeyman Plumber

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Completes and updates assigned work orders using computerized maintenance management system.
• Examines district-owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventive maintenance.
• Accurately orders and accounts for material and labor relative to assignments.
• Maintains all safety and code requirements of the state, local and Board of Education guidelines.
• Performs general maintenance work inside and outside the physical plant as required.
• Participates in district wide snow removal efforts including plowing and salting.
• Performs maintenance of sprinkler and irrigation systems.
• Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase, and maintains the inventory of district owned hand tools, equipment hardware, materials and supplies.
• Assists other maintenance personnel in installation and maintenance of facilities equipment and infrastructure, particularly in plumbing related skill activity.

• Performs all other duties, which may be assigned by the Director of Facilities
